Since 2002, our mission has been to unite animals and children to improve physical condition, bolster self-esteem,  and heal emotional wounds.  We need your help to continue this vital outreach to our community.  We operate exclusively through the generosity of those individuals and organizations who choose to support our mission.

Your contributions will allow us to continue to provide our  services and programs FREE OF CHARGE to our participants. How you can help:

  • Volunteer your time or coordinate a work group.
  •  Financial Contribution
  •  Gift-in-kind Business donations, sponsorships or matching gift programs
  •  For organizations and individuals interested in sponsoring a fundraiser, please email info@HopeOnHorseback.org

You will find a convenient GIVE TO STORYBOOK FARM donation button on each page of the website.  We encourage you to make a gift if you are able.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so any gift you make will be tax-deductible.

What is my donation used for?

Donations are directed towards session expenses, animal care and farm maintenance. Because the horses are the backbone of our programs, a portion of each donation goes towards feed, routine vet care and general supplies. These amazing horses partner with approximately 100 children each week.

Our program is so much more than just a horseback ride. In fact, our riders’ time in the saddle is only the beginning of their weekly journey at Storybook. Just before dismounting, each rider collects their “mail” aka surprise from the SBF mailbox and then safely tucks their horse into his stall. The next step of the adventure is an arts/crafts time and a look about the farm to discover hidden treasures.  By the last week of the session, we have snapped hundreds of pictures of each rider. We carefully select the best of each week and compile them in a one-of-a-kind scrapbook. Literally hundreds of hours are spent on each book.

Why go to so much trouble and expense you might ask. Storybook’s philosophy is that each day is a gift, each rider a glimpse into the awesome handiwork of God and each animal a wellspring of love. So, why not!  Your gifts make every little extra special touch possible.
