Session Update

Eighty-six children were overjoyed in both body and soul that the lovely spring weather finally joined our morning and afternoon rides!   While enjoying temps in the mid 70’s, the kiddos continued their journey through History on Horseback with steeds like “Trigger” and “Brown Beauty.”

Field Trip
The Auburn Boys and Girls Club
joined us for two beautiful afternoons while our wonderful volunteers led the group in arts and crafts, a meet and greet with the animals, horseback riding, and learning to groom the animals.

Childrens ChoirWe were also blessed with the visit of 25 children from the Mwangaza Children’s Choir. The Mwangaza Children’s Choir is a group of talented and inspiring children who serve as the voice for orphaned and poverty-stricken youth of Uganda. They tour as a ministry outreach of the Africa Renewal Ministries to share a hope through original Ugandan song and dance. The group of children, ages 9-16, who had never been to the United States before, enjoyed an entire day with us. Not only did they get to experience riding for the first time, they also learned how to groom the horses, made crafts that we still enjoy, and enjoyed a nice lunch on the grounds of the farm.  Their laughter still resonates throughout the farm and their smiles have forever impacted us.
