Hi! My name is Belle and I am 6 year old miniature Zebu. I am the only cow at Storybook Farm and my best friends are the farm's goats, Melanie and Prissy.

My primary job is to bring you news from the farm. Like my namesake, Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, I am enthralled with books. In fact, I have begun to compose a collection of stories from the Farm. Here is my latest installment.

Chapter 2, pages 20 - 23

"Spring Sessions have begun at Storybook Farm. I am not sure where the spring weather has been hiding, but hopefully it will arrive very soon and stay. I am delighted to be the official welcoming voice of the farm, though I get a bit tired after mooing a 'hello' to each of the one hundred and ten children who participate every week. Mrs. Potts shared a tidbit of exciting information with me over tea last week. 'Belle, did you know that we have 34 new riders with us this semester. In fact, I am proud to say that I am partnering with two of them, Emmett and Kimani!' 

In case you didn't know, each rider partners with the same horse and volunteers for the duration of the semester. And I think I heard correctly that the kids are traveling across America on Route 66! Everyone will get to brush up on their geography and learn about important people, places and events.  It is times like these that I am glad I am a cow ... Route 66 travels eight states and that is a lot of mileage!" Here are a few snapshots of my friends:
